Lisa has coached teachers at FPPS in pedagogical change in reading and writing for several years. She uses an intelligent and perceptive approach that challenges the thinking and reflection of the teachers; and in turn, they have changed their practice to be more meaningful and relevant for their children, as well as extending them as readers and writers.
She is positive, encouraging and makes each teacher feel highly valued. As a result, we have children who love reading and writing, and who are the authors of brilliant writing.

We have a multi-disciplinary team within the Children’s Centre, which can make it challenging to access professional development that is relevant to all staff. However, Lisa was able to provide support to our preschool teachers, early years educators and extended allied health team with a focus on pedagogy, our environment and our shared view of the capable and competent child. Through Lisa’s facilitation all staff were able to reflect on their own pedagogy and practice, building on the shared philosophy of the centre.
